The Panthers were back on the practice field Wednesday as they start prep for their Sunday showdown at home against the Detroit Lions.
The team was without a number of key players for the practice, and while they are hopeful some of them may return for the NFC showdown, it’s unlikely that some of them will be able to go Sunday.
Here is the first injury report for the week for Carolina:
Player | Injury | Wed | Thu | Fri | Status |
RB Christian McCaffrey | Shoulder | DNP | |||

Coach Matt Rhule says that the Panthers will be without McCaffrey, Jackson or Okung for Sunday’s game against Detroit
The other big name to watch is Teddy Bridgewater, who suffered a mild MCL sprain late in last week’s loss to the Buccaneers when he was tackled from behind on a sack by Jason Pierre-Paul.
His playing status is very much up in the air for Sunday’s 1pm game.
