Carolina’s Bright Future?

Carolina’s Bright Future?

With training camp only three weeks away, we look to the future of a team rebuilding to achieve long term success but in hopes and aspirations of making a run to fulfill a long desired sought after Lombardy trophy for owner and players alike.

Some of the veterans see their time of passing the torch at hand and they know the time is now.

QB Cam Newton has also stated that the one thing missing in his life is winning a Super Bowl.

The bad taste hasn’t been removed from the previous years but the pieces are in place to duplicate what Carolina had in the Super Bowl run in veteran experience and rookie savvy.

With the above mentioned in mind, what is it that coaches and fans alike need to see out of the 2017 team?

For me, it all begins in the trenches with the hog mollies.

Is the writing on the wall for Michael Oher? I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news but…an inside source has told me his career is a wrap. The “Blind sides” health is more important moving forward.

Moving forward—Matt Kalil will have to make the most out of the OL coach’s directions and be in shape to give ample time to Newton. Will Kalil be ready for the challenge breathing new life into his NFL career? I think he has every reason to– having the support and recommendation from his brother, Ryan, along with his multi-year franchise history breaking contract, the Panthers organization has high-hopes that he will be able to be a long-term staple for the offensive line.

However, other pieces have been set in place to help Cam out. The coaches want the ball out of Newton’s hands and into the dynamic playmakers that have been added. Cam agrees.

On the right side will be an interesting battle between Darryl Williams and Draft pick, whose size and ability to learn impresses, Taylor Moton. (I look forward to see these young guys as well as Matt Kalil put their hand in the dirt, put the pads on, and go to work.)

I believe Williams, having the most experience out of the two, will earn the job, but I see Moton progressing rapidly becoming a valuable substitute.
