Cam Newton Sits to Start Game vs Seattle Due to Dress Code Violation

Cam Newton

The Panthers blowout loss to the Seahawks was complete with their starting quarterback having to miss the first series of the game due to a dress code violation.

Cam Newton sat the bench to start the game in place of backup Derek Anderson, who went and threw a pick on his first pass attempt on a throw intended for Mike Tolbert.

Word is Newton didn’t wear a tie, which is a team violation. It didn’t matter much who played, as the Panthers were never in the game in the tough loss to the Seahwks.
