Taking A Look Into the Draft Class

  •  Vernon Butler

“Dude throws the hammer down.” And we all know how D. Gettlemen loves his hog mollies.

Butler is the definition of one. With the size and strength to compete in the NFL for years to come, he is a true run-stopper who fills holes and penetrates at the line.

He has a good sense of awareness to finding the ball and once he’s there he can stop players in their tracks—throwing the hammer down.

Butler “cleans up.”

He’s a force to be wreckened with, with almost any O-Lineman.

  • James Bradberry

Considering that Bradberry will wear J No’s #24, there is also another intriguing similarity, in that Bradberry has good vision, watching the QB’s eyes, which Norman also did well.

Has good hands and has a knack for the football. He puts himself in good position to disrupt the play.

He’s got good speed and size for a corner.

He plays physical at the line and sticks with his assignment.

He’s in good hands with the Panthers DB coaches as they work with his skill set and all-around approach to the game.

  • Daryl Worley

daryl worley

Plays instinctive football. He has a certain knowledge to his position, which can undermine routes and disrupt the QB.

Has good hands and a knack for the football. Will come in handy for a group known as “Thieves Ave.”

He plays physical and tackles well.

  • Zack Sanchez

zack sanchez

Is quick and has the right approach that you look for in the nickel position.

Sanchez also plays physical—the style that Panthers want from their CB’s.

Sanchez has good ball skills and when out in the open can make opposing teams pay by going the distance if given a chance.

He’s a competitor who can also be used in a blitz package.

Many commentators have said that Sanchez was the steal in this year’s draft.

AND Sanchez likes to Dab.

Sanchez looks to improve his catching skills, which will make him more of a threat.

Beau Sandland

Has tremendous upside. For one reason, being able to work with TE Greg Olsen.

Beau has good hands and good size at his position, as with Olsen.

Sandland puts himself in position to snag the ball, as with Olsen.

He also manages to find the holes in coverage’s, as does Olsen.

He’s got decent speed and can manage to slip past the secondary, as does Olsen.

With Olsen by Sandland’s side—look out.

Jeremy Cash

How fortunate were the Panthers to get Cash?

Sure they want to beef up Cash a little bit for playing the LB position.

But this guy has a nose for the football and plays physical.

He’s very smart, attending Duke, and that is what the Panthers want out of the LB position.

He gets to the ball in a hurry.

He’s a disrupter.

Add on the pounds and watch this guy fly around the field.

He’s in good company with the rest of the LB core.

  •  Keyarris Garrett

Many were shocked why this WR went undrafted, but fortunately for the Panthers, with the help of their tremendous work done by the scouts, he found his way to the Carolina’s.

He’s a go-getter when it comes to snatching the football.

Creating mis-matches for many corners.

He has decent speed and keeps his eye on the football.

He’s competitive at the line, allowing him to break away and create plays.

He finds his home in the end-zone.

He’s able to break tackles and slip away from coverage’s.

He probably received most of his notoriety from the emphasis “hail-marry play” where he tracked and came down with the football winning the game.

This guy is a snagger; we’ll see how he adjusts to Cam’s fastball.
