Carolina will look to be aggressive and establish a ‘Winning attitude’ and supply a win at home before thousands of fans. Playing with a sense of pride, passion, and ‘This Is Our House’ mentality is just the prescription that is needed to propel the Carolina Panthers forward. B of A should ‘Bring the Noise,’ bringing confidence to the Panthers and confusion to opponents.

The Rams are trying to bring balance to their Offense. The Rams have had some success running the ball. They had success running the ball against Houston.

QB Sam Bradford: “It’s led us to be more efficient.” It’s allowed us to keep defenses “off balanced.” “When you play defenses as good as Carolina, you have to be able to run the ball.” Bradford: “For us to be successful this week,” we have to be able to run the ball efficiently on first and second downs for positive yards and “play ahead of the sticks.”

jeff fisher

HC Jeff Fisher looks to see how his team’s running game will match up to Carolina’s defense. Fisher: “This defense is very good against the run. This defense is very well coached and aggressive. They don’t give up many points.”

HC J. Fisher on Carolina’s offense: “You have to defend everything. Our defense is going to be very busy this week.”

OC Brian Schottenheimer: “We try to make it difficult on defenses” using multiple player packages (i.e. switching players in and out).
TE’s and RB success for the Rams. QB S. Bradford on (TE’s): “They’re a very versatile group.” “Our options are endless.” The TE’s have accounted for half the TD’s in the redzone. The Rams like to use a two TE set.

Carolina’s defense must be prepared for this bunch of TE’s.

OC Brian Schottenheimer: “Carolina creates a lot of turnovers.” “They have probably the best pass rushing tandems in the league with C. Johnson and G. Hardy.” He also gives credit to S. Lotulelei for being a great draft pick. Another mentionable: L. Kuechly. And T. Davis “is playing really, really well for them.”

“Their front seven has been excellent. And their secondary, has capitalized on the pressure that they’ve created.” “They certainly have our respect.” “They’re a very sound group.” “Very fundamentally sound and they’re making a lot of plays right now.”

OT Jake Long: “(Carolina’s) defense is relentless.” “This might be one of the best D-line’s that we’ve faced.”

QB Sam Bradford: “They’re a really good defense.” “They’re very disruptive. They’re very active.”

St. Louis DE Chris Long understands the physicality of Newton. Praising Newton as a tough runner and a tough guy. Long also credits the RB core of Carolina, “(Kenjon Barner) is a bright, emerging star in the league.” (Carolina) has a backfield full of good players, and that’s going to be a challenge.”

Long on the poor run-defense of the Rams, “We have some issues we have to iron out.”

Carolina’s offense looks to continue success and consistency. “Everyone must do their job,” said Newton. We have an “edge” playing at home. “We look to put on a great performance.” “It’s all about confidence.”
