Via the Charlotte Observer’s Jonathan Jones, the Panthers signed 7 players to their practice squad.
Tauren Poole, a running back who was contending for a spot against Armond Smith, who made the team.
James Shaw (WR) and Brenton Bersin (WR), aka “Sunshine,” a familiar face with the Panthers, as he was also a contender for a roster spot last season but failed to make the last cut. Bersin has made some nice catches during preseason. He is also a Wofford grad, as is owner Jerry Richardson.
Robert Lester, a Safety who showed a lot at Alabama in college, but did not show a lot during training camp or the preseason, was also put on the practice squad. He can still progress and can have a lot of potential.
Also signed to the team Craig Roh (DE), who played well in the preseason games; (DT) Casey Walker; and (LB) Ben Jacobs.
The Panthers can sign eight players, leaving a spot still available. With the open spot, scouts may look to fill an opening at the QB position, having only kept two.

I think they should get a cb or wr. I like Rodney Smith from FSU he’s 6′ 6 and fast. Marvin Austin is available as is Tandon Doss.
