The Carolina Panthers have lost another player to injury, as today the team placed free safety Haruki Nakamura on injured reserve.
Nakamura injured his groin in Sunday’s win against Atlanta. If you were betting how many players the Panthers
Carolina now has placed 16 players on injured reserve this season and currently have 13 players on IR, no one handicapping the Panthers season would have ever guessed they would be that banged up.
To replace Nakamura on the 53-man roster, the Panthers signed safety Anderson Russell from the practice squad.
The Panthers made two other moves Tuesday, waiving offensive lineman Lee Ziemba from injured reserve and signing former Newberry (S.C.) College defensive back Kamaal McIlwain to the practice squad.
