Panthers Trade OT Jeff Otah to the Jets

The Panthers move to get WR Louis Murphy wasn’t the only trade they made Monday.

The Cats also moved OT Jeff Otah to the New York Jets in exchange for an undisclosed conditional draft choice.

A 2008 first-round pick of the Panthers, No. 19 overall, Otah has been plagued by knee injuries. He played four games the past two seasons.

However, Jets starting right tackle Wayne Hunter has been heavily criticized, and Otah will provide training camp competition for Hunter if healthy.
