Panthers Come to Terms with Free Agent LB Onatolu and OL Pollak

The Panthers confirmed the signing of free agent linebacker Kenny Onatolu as well as the signing of free agent offensive lineman Mike Pollak.

Terms of Pollak’s contract were not disclosed. Onatolu signed a three-year deal worth $2.7 million last week.

Pollak, 27, was a second round pick out of Arizona State by the Indianapolis Colts in 2008. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound guard/center has started 41 of 58 games over the last four seasons, including eight of 13 games in 2011.

After beginning his pro career with the Edmonton Eskimos, Onatolu spent the previous three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, where he recorded 40 special teams tackles. Panthers special teams coach Brian Murphy coached Onatolu in Minnesota and is looking to turn around a unit that ranked 32nd in Football Outsiders’ special teams DVOA last season.
