Two local businesses have stepped up to purchase the remaining unsold tickets for this Sunday’s Panthers’ home against the Jaguars, keeping the game from being blacked out on local television.
On Tuesday, the Panthers had 1,200 non-premium seats remaining. Anheuser Busch and WBTV in Charlotte have purchased the tickets, which Person reports will be distributed to local charities, first responders and military personnel.
The Panthers have sold out 87 consecutive games, a streak that extends back to the 2002 season.
