According to Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer via Twitter, the “face of the franchise” was not wearing a walking boot Wednesday and said he described his ankle as feeling “luscious”:
Cam Newton NOT wearing the protective boot on his right foot today. Says his ankle is OK, “luscious” is the word he used actually.
As expected, Cam Newton is beaming with confidence – hurt ankle, or “luscious” ankle.
