Panthers LB Thomas Davis: “Tired of talking about Aaron Rodgers”

Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis is already tired of the media playing up the defending Super Bowl champion Packers and their superstar signal caller.

“Man, I’m tired of talking about Aaron Rodgers,” Davis said of the Packers quarterback during the team’s open locker room session. “We’ll line up and we’re going to compete as hard as we can and we should come away with a victory.”

Also, the Georgia product adventured to say that the club went out and “fully expected” to beat the Cardinals last Sunday:

“You look back and the fans were excited about us being in the game against Arizona,” Davis said. “Arizona is a team that went 5-11 last year. So I don’t know why that is something to be excited about. We went out and fully expected to win that game, just like we are going out and fully expect to win this game.

“You can’t really go into a game thinking you don’t have a chance or we’re close. This is the NFL and any given Sunday you can win a football game.”

The former Bulldog recorded seven tackles in the opener against Arizona.  Assuredly, he will have to consistently make more plays due to the loss of the team’s heart and soul.

As for beating the Packers, who knows, maybe this Sunday will be that “any given Sunday” for Cam’s Crew at Bank of America Stadium.

Sorry Tommie when you’re named MVP in the Super Bowl you get all
kinds of publicity whether you like it or not. Next Feb when you
are named MVP some people might get sick of all the talk about you.
