Panthers Trade with Bears for TE Greg Olsen

By Chris Bach

The Chicago Bears have traded Greg Olsen to the Panthers for a player and a draft pick, says Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.

Olsen will join fellow Miami alum TE Jeremy Shockey and Olsen’s former offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski, who was also Shockey’s tight end coach.

Update: Olsen has signed a four-year contract extension worth $24 million.  Panthers send a third round draft pick in return to Chicago.  No player involved.
