Godfrey Has Surgery to Repair Broken Right Hand

Panthers starting FS Charles Godfrey is out for a few weeks after having surgery to repair a broken right hand. Godfrey, who appeared to be coming out of the rookie struggles he endured last year, likely will have to play wearing a cast when he does come back. In the short term, the coaches will entrust the position to Quinton Teal, a rangy defender who shows a knack for getting in front of passes.
