Posted in Pro Football Weekly reports today what we all knew, DT Maake Kemoeatu’s season is over:
The Panthers officially ended DT Maake Kemoeatu’s season by placing him on injured reserve Wednesday after he underwent surgery on his torn right Achilles tendon.
Kemoeatu sustained the injury during practice on Monday morning. It’s a major loss for the Panthers, who count on Kemoeatu, a key piece of the run defense, to clog up the middle.
Carolina signed undrafted rookie DT George Hypolite after placing Kemoeatu on I.R. Hypolite played for Colorado and was released by the Jaguars in July.
