Panthers and First Draft Pick Brown Agree on Four-Year Deal

As expected, the Panthers have come to terms with their first draft pick – DE Everette Brown. David Scott at the Charlotte Observer had the story earlier today:

Defensive end Everette Brown, the Panthers’ top pick in last spring’s NFL draft, has agreed to a four-year deal with the team worth $4.3 million, with $2.6875 million in guarantees.

Brown, an All-ACC player out of Florida State, was taken by the Panthers with the 43rd pick in the second round,

The Panthers’ other second-rounder — cornerback Sherrod Martin — and third-round defensive tackle Corvey Irvin are the team’s last two draft choices who have yet to sign.
