The Panthers could have a new weapon in the backfield in 2009, as rookie RB Mike Goodson is making a strong impression on the team. The Gaston Gazette reports that even QB Jake Delhomme likes what he sees from the rookie:
Panthers QB Jake Delhomme said he has been impressed with the speed of rookie RB Mike Goodson. “He’s got some jets, I know that,” Delhomme said. “Don’t get me wrong, we’re still in skirts right now. You always have those guys who look good in shorts. But this guy, he’s got some explosiveness. In the little bit of time he’s been out here you can tell he’s explosive.”
