Panthers DE Julius Peppers was (as expected) a no-show at the teams mini-camp today, but that didn’t stop head coach John Fox from proclaiming that he thinks the franchised player will be with the team and will show up for training camp in July.

“I don’t think this will keep him from training camp,” Fox said. “That’s kind of what I expect; that’s when our season starts.” Fox didn’t seem taken aback by the absence of Peppers, who the team still thinks they can get a deal done with and somehow keep happy.

For now, Peppers is sitting at home, and the saga with the defensive playmaker will continue.
