Peppers Won’t Be at the Panthers Weekend Mini-Camp

The Panthers will start a three-day mini-camp on Friday, their first since their playoff loss to the Cardinals. One player though that likely won’t be on the practice field is franchised player Julius Peppers. reports that two league sources have told them that the defensive end will be a no-show for the mandatory three-day minicamp.

One thing that is interesting to note about Peppers is that under NFL rules, he doesn’t have to attend minicamp because he’s not signed his tender.

There’s been a lot of give and take about Peppers, as he’s said time after time that he does not want to play for the Panthers. The team wants to keep him around, but Peppers seems to be happy to draw this thing out as long as it takes until he gets traded.

As of now though, no team has come to the Panthers with an offer for Peppers, even though there was some talk about the Pats being the team that was going to make some type of deal for his services.
