With speculation swriling that Panthers’ quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator Mike McCoy is headed to Denver to become the Broncos offensive coordinator, there appears a chance that Cleveland Browns QBs coach Rip Scherer is headed to Carolina. Remember, Panthers’ offensive coordinator Jeff Davison came here from the Browns.

During an appearance on WFNZ’s “Morning Sports Page,” Panthers SS Chris Harris said he suffered a torn labrum during the team’s loss to Arizona last weekend. Harris said he’d get surgery next Thursday at CMC, and estimated his recovery time at three to four months.
