Four Panthers Headed to the Pro Bowl

After laying an egg last year, the Carolina Panthers have 4 players representing the the 11-3 team in this year’s Pro Bowl. Juius Peppers and Jordan Gross both made the team as starters, whereas Steve Smith and Jon Beason were elected as reserves.

This is the first selection for Gross, although he has certainly been deserving for quite a while now. It’s also one more affirmation for Pepppers that he has shaken off the travails of last season, and has returned to Pro Bowl form. Beason has quickly turned into an elite middle linebacker, and really should have been selected last year, as a rookie. Most would think that missing the first two games of the season would put Steve Smith at a disadvantage, but his electrifying play has obviously atoned for it.
