Banged Up Panthers Line Without Gross; Likely Without Otah

The Panthers O-line is going to look very different tomorrow vs the Chiefs, as Jordan Gross is going to be out for sure for the contest, and tackle Jeff Otah is doubtful. Gross was ruled out yesterday after he was knocked unconscious during last Sunday’s win over Atlanta and did not practice all week. As for Otah, the rookie tackle has a sprained right ankle. He missed his third straight practice on Friday as well. “It’s part of the game,” coach John Fox said. “We’ve dealt with it before and we will deal with it again.”

Frank Omiyale could make his first NFL start at the left tackle spot, while Jeremy Bridges will likely fill in again for Otah. Bridges has already started twice this season on the line. “Whether it’s Frank Omiyale or whoever, if you get that opportunity you need to make the most of it,” Fox said. “I think Frank is prepared for that.”
