Single Practice Tuesday, Two Today for Panthers

The Panthers held a single practice as training camp continued in Spartanburg Tuesday.  Linebacker Jon Beason, who tweaked his ankle Monday, did not practice.  Safety Chris Harris also was sidelined with a hamstring injury.  Both players are day-to-day.  The Panthers will practice twice today at 9:10 a.m. and 3:10 p.m.  The Panthers also released defensive tackle Michael Marquardt and signed tight end Chad Upshaw.  Carolina will host Indianapolis in its preseason opener Saturday night at Bank of America Stadium.
