Panthers defensive tackle Ian Scott injured his left knee during Wednesday morning’s training camp practice in Spartanburg. Scott was injured when another defender rolled over his leg during short-yardage drills. The extent of the injury is not yet known, but the “Charlotte Observer” reports it is not believed to be serious. Scott was signed to provide depth to Carolina’s defensive line. He spent last season in Philadelphia but missed the entire season with an injury. Scott also played four seasons for the Chicago Bears. The Panthers will hold a single practice at 3:10 this afternoon.
