Panthers Go Defense on Day Two

The Panthers went for defense with their first picks on day two of the NFL Draft.  The Panthers selected Iowa cornerback Charles Godfrey and Penn State linebacker Dan Connor in the third round.  Carolina then chose Louisville tight end Gary Barnidge in the fifth round and added Wisconsin defensive tackle Nick Hayden in the sixth round.  The Panthers then had three picks in the seventh round: UNC defensive end Hilee Taylor, Oregon lineman Geoff Schwarz and Bentley College guard Mackenzy Bernadeau.  The Panthers made a splash on Saturday, selecting Oregon running back Johnathan Stewart with the 13th pick.  Carolina then traded back into the first round, selecting Pittsburgh tackle Jeff Otah.
