The Panthers are staying on the free agent market, as CarolinaGrowl.com is reporting the team has come to terms with now former Jags running back LaBrandon Toefield. Toefield spent the last five seasons with the Jags, where he averaged a little over 100 yards per season on the ground, but was always behind star back Fred Taylor and then they added Maurice Jones-Drew, which pushed Toefield even further back. The word is Toefield will likely be a backup in Carolina to DeAngelo Williams taking the place of veteran DeShaun Foster who was released and signed with the Niners.
