Reports say that the Panthers have agreed to terms with strong safety Chris Harris on a three-year deal that will keep him with the team through 2012. The four-year extension is worth about $3 mil per season according to reports. Harris came to the Panthers after a late offseason trade with the Chicago Bears when the Panthers defensive backfield was banged up and the team needed to make a move and bring someone in. He played well in 2007, putting up 97 tackles and forcing 8 fumbles.
