The Panthers Saturday came to terms with one of their own, as they announced they will have a deal with DT Damione Lewis, who last season in a reserve role had 3.5 sacks. Lewis was set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the month. He will make the signing official on Monday when his agent, Drew Rosenhaus says he will sign a three-year deal. “He definitely wants to stay in Carolina. He’s very happy there,” Rosenhaus said. “I’ve always had success working with the Panthers.” Lewis is a seven-year vet from Miami and in 15 games last year had 32 tackles.
