The Panthers will play their season finale at Tampa Bay without defensive end Julius Peppers.  Peppers suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee December 16th against Seattle and also missed last Saturday’s game with Dallas.  Quarterback Vinny Testaverde and tackle Jordan Gross also missed Wednesday’s practice with injuries.  The Panthers also claimed kicker Rhys Lloyd off waivers from Baltimore and signed defensive backs Eddie Canonico and Patrick Ghee to the practice squad.  Carolina has also signed wide receiver Travis Taylor, a former first-round draft choice in Baltimore.  The Panthers will practice again today.
