Peppers, Smith Miss Practice; No Players Picked for Pro Bowl

Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers and wide receiver Steve Smith were among the six players who missed practice on Tuesday.  Peppers suffered a sprained knee in Sunday’s win over Dallas, while Smith was out because of illness.  Guard Geoff Hangartner, center Justin Hartwig, defensive tackle Kindal Moorehead and wide receiver Keary Colbert also missed practice.  The Panthers practiced a day earlier than usual because they host the Dallas Cowboys Saturday night.  Meanwhile, the Panthers did not have any players picked to play in the Pro Bowl for the first time since 1995.
