Panthers Prepare For Jaguars
Posted by Matt Loede on December 8th, 2007 filed in NewsThe Panthers will be on the road to face the playoff-minded Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday. The 5-7 Panthers are trying to salvage their own postseason hopes as they sit in the middle of a logjam of teams battling for the NFC’s final Wild Card slot. The Panthers are tied with five other franchises at 5-7, one game behind the three teams sharing the No. 6 seed heading into the weekend. Meanwhile, Jacksonville’s hopes for an AFC South championship were all but dashed with last Sunday’s 28-25 loss to the division-leading Indianapolis Colts, but with an 8-4 record, the club still has a good chance to secure a postseason berth. The Jaguars currently own the top Wild Card spot in the conference.
