Vinny Returns To Practice

Quarterback Vinny Testaverde returned to practice Wednesday and appears on track to start Sunday’s game with San Francisco 49ers.  Testaverde was penciled in as the starter for last Sunday’s game with New Orleans but wound up missing the game with a sore back.  The 44-year-old Testaverde was able to complete a full workout Wednesday.  David Carr started last Sunday, but he was ineffective and wound up being replaced by undrafted rookie Matt Moore.  Meanwhile, cornerback Chris Gamble returned to practice after missing Sunday’s loss to New Orleans following surgery on his dislocated thumb last week.  The Panthers are 0-and-5 at home this season and have lost their last seven games at Bank of America Stadium.  The team will practice again today.
