Testaverde Will Start Sunday If Healthy

Panthers head coach John Fox says Vinny Testaverde will get the start Sunday against the 49ers if he is healthy. Meanwhile, with David Carr struggling, Jake Delhomme injured, and the 44-year-old Testaverde likely absent from the team’s long-term plans, some believe it may be best to let rookie quarterback Matt Moore start the rest of the season. Testaverde woke up with back problems on Saturday, giving Carr the start against the Saints. Moore did play in the fourth quarter, completing eight of 14 passes for 66 yards with an interception.
