Like it or not, the Panthers are sticking with Vinny Testaverde as their starting QB for the future as long as he can stay healthy.  Vinny was given the starting nod on Wednesday by head coach John Fox.  Testaverde and David Carr had been going back and forth for the past few weeks, and finally today Fox put to rest who would be the long-term starter.  “Right now, if everybody is healthy, Vinny will be the starter,” Fox said.  This move may mean the end for Carr, who was given a two-year deal worth $6 million before the start of the season.  “We make decisions based on who gives us the best chance,” Fox said. “It’s not always money. It’s not always what round [he's drafted]. We make those decisions not based on any polls from the outside. It’s just based on who we think gives us the best chance. Right now we think that’s Vinny.”
