The Panthers suffered their third straight loss Sunday, falling 20-13 to the Atlanta Falcons. Joey Harrington found Alge Crumpler for the game-winning 30-yard touchdown pass with 20 seconds remaining. The Panthers are winless in four home games and slipped to 4-and-5 on the season. Carolina has scored only 27 points during the three-game skid. The Panthers’ only touchdown Sunday came on a 27-yard fumble return by cornerback Ken Lucas. Warrick Dunn also had a 30-yard TD run for Atlanta. Despite their struggles, the Panthers are only one game out of first place in the NFC South. Tampa Bay, which was idle Sunday, leads the division at 5-and-4. The Panthers will travel to Green Bay next Sunday.
