Testaverde Returns to Practice; Carr Sits Out

Panthers quarterback Vinny Testaverde returned to the practice field Wednesday, but David Carr was held out of the workout.  Testaverde missed last Sunday’s game against Tennessee because of an injured right Achilles tendon.  Carr suffered a concussion during Sunday’s 20-7 loss.  Center Justin Hartwig, tackle Jordan Gross, wide receiver Keary Colbert and defensive end Otis Grigsby also missed practice.  Wide receiver Steve Smith was given the day off but was not listed on the team’s injury report.  The 4-and-4 Panthers host the Atlanta Falcons Sunday at Bank of America Stadium.
