The Panthers quarterback situation is more unsettled than ever because of injuries. Vinny Testaverde is day-to-day with a strained Achilles tendon, according to coach John Fox. Testaverde suffered the injury in Sunday’s 31-7 loss to Indianapolis. David Carr entered the game after Testaverde was injured, but was admittedly not fully recovered from a back injury he suffered in week-five. Carr says he can play the rest of the season at less than 100-percent, but the health of both quarterbacks will remain the central issue heading into this week’s game at Tennessee. Cornerback Curtis Deloatch suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s game and is expected to miss the rest of the season. Despite the injuries and a winless home record, the Panthers sit in first place in the NFC South at 4-and-3.
