Delhomme Undergoes Surgery

Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme underwent right elbow surgery Thursday. Delhomme underwent Tommy John surgery at Carolinas Medical Center and is expected to start rehab soon. Delhomme said last week he expects to be fully recovered for the 2008 season. The Panthers have won two-of-three games since Delhomme was sidelined. David Carr and Vinny Testaverde are the veteran quarterbacks on the Panthers roster. Carr missed last Sunday’s game at Arizona with a sore back, and coach John Fox has not announced a starter for next Sunday’s game with Indianapolis. The Panthers have a bye this weekend.
