Panthers Share Division Lead Entering Bye Week
Posted by Matt Loede on October 18th, 2007 filed in NewsThe Panthers will enter their bye week tied for the NFC South lead. The Panthers are 4-and-2 and share the division lead with Tampa Bay. Carolina has won back-to-back games entering the break and is 4-and-0 on the road this season. The Panthers are winning despite injuries to the quarterback position that required 43-year-old Vinny Testaverde to start just four days after he was signed by the team. David Carr is expected to be ready to play in Carolina’s October 28th agame against the Indianapolis Colts. But coach John Fox will not say if Carr or Testaverde will get the nod for the game. Players will practice today before getting the rest of the week off.
