Peppers Has Breakout Game

The Panthers had been waiting for Pro-Bowl defensive end Julius Peppers to have a breakout game.  Peppers delivered in Sunday’s 25-10 win at Arizona.  The former UNC star had seven tackles, a sack-and-a-half and a forced fumble against the Cardinals.  Peppers, who had 13 sacks in 2006, did not have a sack all season until Sunday.  Peppers says he and the defense may have been playing not to make mistakes earlier in the season but now are intent on making plays.  The Panthers have a bye this week and will face their stiffest test of the season when they host the undefeated Indianapolis Colts on October 28th.
