Panthers Move on Without Delhomme

The Panthers are prepared to move on without starting quarterback Jake Delhomme. The Panthers announced Monday that Delhomme would need surgery on his injured right elbow and would miss the rest of the season. David Carr is now the starter, but he is also battling aback injury. So the Panthers will likely bring in another veteran quarterback as well. The Panthers return to practice today as they get ready for Sunday’s trip to Arizona. Carolina is 3-and-2 and tied with Tampa Bay for the NFC South lead.
