Peppers Makes Big Play

Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers made a huge play in Sunday’s win at New Orleans, blocking an Olindo Mare field goal that would have given the Saints a 10-point fourth quarter lead. The Panthers then seized the game’s momentum with a David Carr to Steve Smith touchdown pass and tied the game at 13. Peppers has not recorded a sack this season and has been the target of criticism by fans and media in Charlotte.  Peppers did record six tackles in New Orleans and may have gained back some favor in Charlotte.
