Panthers Look to Bounce Back at New Orleans

The Panthers will face an important test when they visit the New Orleans Saints Sunday.  The Panthers are coming off a 20-7 loss to Tampa Bay and gave a performance defensive tackle Kris Jenkins called “garbage.”  The team held a players-only meeting Wednesday to make sure everyone is on the same page.  David Carr is likely to start at quarterback again, as Jake Delhomme remains sidelined by an elbow injury.  Delhomme and linebacker Dan Morgan missed practice again Thursday.  New Orleans, which won the NFC South title last year, is 0-and-3 this season.  The Saints have had two weeks to prepare for the Panthers, as they had they bye last week.  The Panthers swept the season series last year and have won three straight against the Saints.  Kickoff is 1:00 Sunday at the Louisiana Superdome.

The Panthers this year remind me of the old days of the Hornets. Show up….pick up paycheck. Chris Jenkins was right about their heart. Too bad he can’t stay on his side of the line.
