Delhomme, Morgan Miss Practice

Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme did not practice Wednesday. Delhomme suffered a strained right elbow in last Sunday’s win at Atlanta. If he can’t play Sunday when the Panthers host Tampa Bay, reserve David Carr would make his first start. Linebacker Dan Morgan also missed yesterday’s practice. The team’s injury report lists Morgan with an ankle problem, but he told reporters after the Falcons game that he had heel and hamstring injuries. Right guard Jeremy Bridges also missed Wednesday’s practice with a toe injury, while linebacker Adam Seward remained sidelined with a sore calf. The Panthers also signed quarterback Quinton Porter to the practice squad. Porter was on Houston’s practice squad for part of last season. The Panthers released running back Alex Haynes from the practice squad.
