Posted in Panthers quarterback David Carr is ready to step in if Jake Delhomme is unable to play Sunday against Tampa Bay. Delhomme suffered a strained right elbow during last Sunday’s win over Atlanta and is listed as day-to-day. Carr replaced Delhomme against the Falcons and completed 3-of-4 passes for 56 yards. He engineered two scoring drives as the Panthers rallied to defeat the Falcons 27-20. The Panthers return to the practice field.
