Salley Placed on IR, Bridges on Board to Help Out

The Panthers on Wednesday placed safety Nate Salley on the injured reserve.  The move frees up a roster spot for Jeremy Bridges. Salley never recovered from the knee injury he suffered in training camp.  After the retirement of  Mike Minter and with Salley hurt, the team traded for Bear Chris Harris and took on free agent journeyman Deke Cooper, and rihtnow both are starting at safety right now.  Marquand Manuel and free agent rookie Quinton Teal are the teams back ups. The team is going to miss Salley, as he was the best safety that the team had, and now he is gone for the remainder of the season.
