Smith One Man Show for Panthers

Wide receiver Steve Smith did his part, but received very little help from his teammates, in the Panthers 34-21 loss to the Houston Texans Sunday.  Smith had eight receptions for 153 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday.  He had two first-quarter scores as the Panthers jumped out to a 14-0 lead.  After Houston reeled off 34 unanswered points, Smith then scored a 74-yard TD in the fourth quarter.  But the Panthers committed two turnovers and had only 66 yards on the ground in the loss.  Panthers fans who remained at Bank of America Stadium showered the team with boos in the second half.  The Panthers are 1-and-1 and will travel to NFC South rival Atlanta next Sunday.
