Salley Misses Practice; Delhomme Gets Day Off
Posted by Matt Loede on August 28th, 2007 in News

Carolina Panthers safety Nate Salley missed practice Monday because of a sore knee that caused him to miss a portion of training camp. The Panthers are already thin in the secondary, and that unit turned in a subpar effort in last Friday’s 24-7 loss to New England. Quarterback Jake Delhomme was at practice but was given the day off from team drills. Delhomme threw a 48-yard touchdown pass in the loss to New England last Saturday. He and most of the starters are expected to see limited playing time in Thursday’s exhibition finale with Pittsburgh.
