Morgan Makes Return in Preseason Loss

Morgan

One of the few bright spots in the Carolina Panthers 24-7 preseason loss to New England Friday was the return of Dan Morgan.  Morgan played most of the first quarter against the Patriots, his first game action since suffering another concussion in last year’s regular-season opener against Atlanta.  The six-year veteran has sustained at least five concussions during his career but says he is thrilled to play again.  Morgan has said he took the necessary steps before deciding to play again and told reporters Friday night that if he felt he was putting his health in danger in any way, he would not continue to play.  The Panthers will likely hold Morgan out of Thursday’s preseason finale against Pittsburgh.
