Morgan Will Play Friday

Panthers linebacker Dan Morgan says he will play in Friday night’s preseason game against New England.  It will mark Morgan’s first game action in nearly a year.  He suffered another concussion in last year’s regular-season opener against Atlanta and did not play again in 2006.  Morgan practiced with the Panthers throughout training camp and dressed for the first two preseason games, but he has yet to play.  The six-year vet says he expects to play about a quarter against the Patriots.  The Panthers will resume practices today in Charlotte.
